Our little piece of heaven

L'Olivette is a character country house with a 1-bedroom holiday apartment, large garden and pool near the beautiful historic tourist village of Caunes and the equally historic city of Carcassonne. The house, built in the 1900s, was originally a shepherd's croft. L'Olivette is situated in the most wonderful countryside imaginable, with mountains, fields and cherry trees full of blossom, lots of olive trees, irises... and very close to one of the loveliest villages in the area, with restaurants and bars - although you'll be tempted just to sit around the pool!

The first floor independent apartment is accessed directly off a terrace extending from the pool area. You enter into the large living/dining/kitchen area with a bed sofa, sofa, TV, table, chairs and a well equipped kitchen area. Access to the bedroom and the shower room via a doorway off the main room.

Outside, from the apartment's own terrace, there are breath-taking views from the over 4000m² of land that include ancient olive terraces and gardens. The area around the 8X4 m pool is gated and surrounded by hedges, there are no nasty fences, assuring privacy while relaxing.

There is space for several cars in the off road parking area.

The village of Caunes is 1.5 km away. Carcassonne with it's airport a little over 20 km and Narbonne is less than50 km. The nearest beaches are less an hour away.
