The Chequers Inn

The Chequers Inn *****

The Chequers looks like a classic English pub. A nice drive from the M11 and along several country lanes. Outside the pub is an attractive garden, inside there is a pleasant bar with the main restaurant in a conservatory.

I have eaten here twice, at the Christmas party and a "Lite Bite" Lunch in the Bar. on the second visit we had Pan Fried Fillet of Pork and the Rabbit Pate, with Fried Figs and Summer Pudding for desert along with a drink each for a little over £25. The food was stunning served beautifully and extremely well balanced flavours. Probably the best pub lunch I've had in a very long time.
