Bodeco's Calle Teide 6, Old Town Puerto del Carmen What Ted Thought *****September 2003 Declan and Bozena have created a lovely environment to complement Bozena's wonderful Polish cooking. I loved the Zrazy and the Stroganoff (don't ask for any extra spuds ... the potato pancake it's served on is more than enough!). Everything we ate was made on the premises, a very pleasant change from the all to frequent "boil in the bag" sauce over a steak food in many tourist restaurants. Recommended all of it I did not regret ordering a thing. I urge you to try the Zrazy though! The combination of ingredients, Beef , pork and gherkins sound a bit weird but trust me... Hey guys it was great to meet you and the rest of the team to quote Arnie "I'll be back!" and I'll remember to book in advance. What They Say
Perfectly situated overlooking the harbour in the Old Town of Puerto del Carmen, is the delightful restaurant Casa Bodeco' s . Owners
Bozena, originally from Poland, and Declan (most definitely from Ireland!) have
made this restaurant their home and invite you to come and sample their
irresistible food and warm hospitality. Naturally,
there will be a strong Polish and Irish flavour to their culinary delights but
also their steaks, stir-fry, spare ribs and fresh fish should prove extremely
popular. Vegetarians and special diets are also
catered for. While
Bozena oversees the kitchen area, meticulously ensuring no dish is presented
until it is perfect, Declan runs the bar area and, naturally, claims his to be
the best pint of Guinness on the island! Bodeco's
will open at 9am for full five-star breakfasts, with tapas and snacks in the
afternoon and full menu Declan
also plans to host special Canarian, Polish and Irish nights with food and music
from those regions. So keep an eye out for these special occasions. Sundays
will see a mouth-watering carvery from 1 pm to 7pm with fresh Iamb, beef, pork
and bacon proving to be a special treat. OPEN FROM 9am Till LATE Bookings advisable in
the evenings 928511 463 Calle Teide 6, Old Town Puerto del Carmen
