November 4th
A very sad day,
Cassie
-the Briard- (aka Allyking Diamonds and Ice) died about 3pm today. A big
dog with a bigger personality she will be missed by all who knew her.
Sad news to arrive back from a really nice holiday to.
The fireworks looked really spectacular from several thousand feet up,
Cass would have hated all the bangs.
November 5th
Usual unpacking washing saga... then my cousin Meriel
and her parents Shirley and John turned up on the door step, stayed for
a couple of cups of tea. It was really nice to see them.
November 6th
Oh dear, someone isn't very well, it appears that we
have a case of Dehli belly in the house. Mind you I'm alright .... so
it's off to rehearsal again to night.
November 7th
Back to work .... only 80 or so e-mails waiting... Mind
you nothing much seems to have happened in my absence!
November 11th
Jimmy da Ant comes all the way from Austria to visit,
and we were out .... but we came home in time to find him.
November 12th
Do a bit of site seeing around the locale, interesting
to see it through the eyes of someone new to it.

As usual here we are hanging around on street corners,
I'm the one with hair! Ha Ha Ha!
Sat and watched the footie England 3 Argentina 2 what a result!
No beer this time either!
November 13th
The Ant reveals his true mission and goes off to Kent to
see his daughters... Had to pretend he was here just to renew his oldest
friendship in the world didn't I

The climate is still
being strange I should not have been able to make this salad
with 100% home grown produce at this time of year, it contains
Lettuce, Rocket, Tomatoes, Radish Cucumber and Peppers from the
garden. Quite an achievement for mid November! Go on tell me you
all did similar the last few years but you couldn't have done it

| I must be mad! I went
on an organised canoe paddle down the river for about 12 miles,
hard to tell exactly because it's so twisty! So while half the
UK was digging itself out of the first snows of winter we were
about 20 soon to be rather damp individuals, splashing about,
shooting weirs and mill runs in silly little boats.
Cold but Great fun! |

It got very cold in the afternoon, one young lady had to be
pulled out of her canoe to have hot coffee poured into her to
get her warmed up. Otherwise everyone coped and we all reached
journeys end!
Thanks to PACKERS for organising the the trip! |
