Happy New Year.......
Well I feel a lot better than she who drinks all night....... Just as well
seeing as we have a ravenous horde descending on us expecting to be fed a
delightful curry buffet, Ted eventually serves 12 (I think it was anyway I
caught up with Des's drinking by the end) with Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken
Korma, Mutton Palak, a Vegetable Curry, Pilau Rice and Bread.
January 2nd
Back to work for a day ..... if you can call it work I don't think I actually
sold anything. Still one days practice for the real thing on Monday
January 3rd
A great day in the history of Gillingham Football club.....FA Cup 3rd Round..
Gillingham 3 Charlton 2 Hooray!!!!! and Match of The Day on the BBC! Still
feeling rough so stayed in and watched videos

Went and bought a pot of paint for the stairway. Put it in the garage on a
work surface, Shut the door and knocked another pot of paint that fell on the
new one that fell on the floor and burst ... no not the lid came off.. It burst!
Useless plastic paint pots! So there was 5l of peach emulsion paint all over the
garage. Loads of stuff covered in paint and ruined.. hours of work tidying up
... and a lovely Peach floor in the garage.

Had my annual appraisal this morning an interesting event seeing as my boss
has only seen me in front of a customer once at a contract review meeting ....
but I'm doing alright!
Finally got round to getting the flat tyre replaced.... 2 weeks after we
first noticed it going down. I'm just so quick at sorting these things out

Des went Salsa Dancing with the girls (I must stop thinking of them as the
coven) seemed to have a good time, me I've got 2 left feet and no sense of rhythm
.. strange thing for a rhythm guitarist to lack... I've got rhythm alright I
just move to it in a different way from Des
January 8th
Lodge Committee meeting in town really depressing thought ... my year as
Master is almost over. Where did the time go?
January 9th
Friday Night out .... that staggered Des. The price of a glass of wine
staggered me! £3.50 for a glass of wine I'd of thought twice about buying a
bottle of for that price. Add to that the food was not served hot, a less
satisfactory experience than we expect from Simply
Italian

Should have been the "1st Barbie of the Year" day but it was
postponed due to a family crisis not because of the weather. So in the end we
had supper with John the Bass Man and the lovely Glenda. While Des and Glenda
got on with girlie supporting and other "well" activities John and I
finally got round to sorting out a promised photo display from the Ladies
Festival back in March for the
Walpole Bay Hotel. Nice "Cave" type thing to do. Yes I did read
the first couple of chapters of Men from Mars Women from Venus .... yes it was
rubbish !
January 11th
Nice quiet Sunday ... Cleaned up the Garden behind the Cass Bag, Hmmmm my
favorite job of all !!!
I would have fixed the roof of the Dog House (My "office") but it
rained too much so I had to leave it to carry on leaking.
Vicky called in for a chat during the afternoon and we were graced by a visit
from Linda in the evening. Des fell asleep in front of the telly and a half
finished bottle of wine ... so .... well it would have gone off if I'd left it,
wouldn't it??
