As another year staggers to it's close time to clear up the mystery of the dead Blog
Close family and most of the other parties affected know about it now..
Many years ago in a galaxy far far away .......
Ted had a long term girlfriend, This was serious enough for them to get engaged.
However they ended up at universities at opposite ends of the country. And in 1975 Ted ran a motorbike that would not do more than 100 miles without something dropping off. The train journey took about 5 hours with 2 changes. No mobile phones, no MSN no e-mail.and being apart took it's toll...
Little over a year later Ted met and then married Pam, who went on to be Gareth's mum (well eventually).
Then there was Des and the back end of that story is told in the diary ... except that during this time things had changed, the web, email and Friends Reunited .... you can see where this is going can't you..
So in mid January 2004 Ted left Des and moved in with his childhood sweetheart ... and we are still here, still strong, and what ties us is as strong as it was in the days when we first together in the summer of 1971.
We made 3 people very unhappy, for which we are sorry, but we having lots of fun and that is why there is no time to run the diary even tho I expect the 3 people in question have given up visiting..
I will still post Rants .. News stories Restaurant recommendations maybe even the return of the diary one day..
