April fools day and nothing much happened... boring or what

Out for a posh nosh with the Dietetic team from UCLH, The Whittington Hospital and the Royal Free at the Circus Restaurant in the Heart of London. Food was good, I also met the new Director of Sales and Marketing for F-KUK. I think good thing lie ahead...............

Took Des out for a meal at a local Thai noshery, I'm not convinced about the grub there....

Ted went up to a lodge meeting in London where they were trying something a little different. It all went rather well and to top it off I won the raffle and got a bottle of Brandy to keep me company in the deep dark winter (?)

To and from Runcorn for a Regional Sales Meeting and the launch of Thick and Easy Dairy, stayed at the rather attractive Lymm Hotel in Lymm, Cheshire. Lymm itself is a very pretty village but the house prices.... ye gods they are frightening!!!!

Back to U.C.L.H.! I thought I had escaped from the place .... no such luck, then an evening meeting at Clerkenwell Masonic Centre so late home again. Do I move into the car or try to get home on a more regular basis?

Final day of the week and I get to work locally at last. Nice day even managed a short walk in the fresh air after my lunch time sandwich. Nearly home at home time..... stopped for a beer and a chat with Erica's dad Ian... solved all the worlds problems in no time and home for tea at 7pm

Finally got to see Gillingham FC playing, really crap game, no fire, no energy, not a lot of atmosphere and they lost to Walsall, who were bottom of the division.
John the B.M. and the lovely Glenda came round for a Ted Special curry night, that'll scare 'em off, and to look at the photos of the festival week end (See some here for yourself)

Sunday lie in bed sleep .... nah! up at 8:30 hanging out washing .. then back to bed with the paper to find out what has happened in the world this week and find the answer is nothing of interest.
Out shopping for plants for the garden only spent £10, nothing much available and the excellent nursery they used to have at Benenden Hospital has closed down (that was a waste of an hour getting there and back)

Bank Holiday... Holiday what a laugh spent most of the day digging a new flower bed in the front garden, moving a tree from a tub to a hole in the lawn and other stuff. The Guy from Autoglass who was replacing the windscreen on the Tango Mobile (Have I mentioned the wonderful Orange colour of my Audi.. I'll tell the story one day) was very consoling, and reminded me he was on double time for working on a Public Holiday where as I was not being paid at all! Git I hate him!
Still the weather was wonderful, warm & sunny should have had a barbie at lunchtime!
Linda & Erica came round to watch the video of My Big Fat Greek Wedding ... My Big Fat Waste of Time if you asked me!

Ted decided to be a man of mystery and disappears all afternoon....... Good day for it, it was horrid windy & cold what a change from yesterday. Actually it didn't matter.
I was trying to find Des a little birthday outing to surprise her with, very unsuccessful in that respect. Did get her a sarong for the holiday as an Easter present and a nice Chocolate Easter Bunny.
Later we took the DVD back, and while we were getting in the car Des spotted the Bunny so I had to dash back to Sainsburys to get an alternative Egg.

Happy Easter, Des enjoyed getting her Egg and her other present I bought yesterday. Vicky and Kevin came round to lunch, which was well cooked as usual by Des, and went home leaving their Easter Chairs behind (Silly present I know but they needed chairs to go with the table they got the other week)

Easter Monday out buying plants for the new flower bed... then planting them.
Cass the Security looking after the open door, the flowers should look good come July!!

Still having neck problems, it is getting better but another trip to see Lucy the Osteopath tonight. I =n view of the distances I had to drive to day, and the traffic just as well ... Felt better afterwards.

New car day ..... up at the crack of doom to take the Tango Mobile back and collect my groovy new Passat. All the way to Warrington and back in a day and did it rain on the way home. Why does the M6 create so much spray compared to other motor ways?? Quite stressful driving had to stop for chill-out for a while on the way back.

Planting time on the patio, had to buy more plants, but it was good to see Des get her hands dirty. Went out for a meal.... eventually... at Pizza Express. Discovered that Des doesn't rate going out for a posh pizza a suitable event for a Saturday night, and she doesn't like pizza that much either, I did though! Nice pizza the Pollo Ad Astra (Chicken to the Stars?!?).
Back to the "eventually" Why is it that when you phone a restaurant to book a table for Saturday (sometimes Friday too) you get told "We don't have reservations on Saturdays" yet when you arrive it's do you have a reservation ..... sorry we are full can you come back in say an hour? NO I WON'T . Take a credit card number with the reservation, tell me there is a fully refundable £10 per person charge to reserve on Saturday but don't mess me about how is anyone supposed to plan a night out if people insist on lying to you? Trying to con you into spending hours drinking in their over priced bars? If I can't book and you haven't got a table ..... I'll spend my money somewhere else.
Why is it you can always get a seat at McDonalds? (the worlds busiest restaurant chain) even on a Saturday?????

Have you noticed how little there is in the newspapers to make you want to read more than the headlines, I got up early (for a Sunday) ended up on a the Isle of Sheppy on a pleasant spring afternoon ... that was nice. Vicky and Des went to the cinema to watch How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days because Kevin is away on a training course
