Over an 18 month period Blue Solutions worked as part of Huntingdonshire PCT to develop new ways of working for Community based NHS staff enabled by the introduction of the National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT).

The PCT employed over 700 Doctors, Nurses, Therapists and Support Staff working in teams as diverse as Child Health and Podiatry, District Nursing and Paediatric Occupational Therapy.

By working in collaboration with teams and service within the PCT, the external contractors and the project team NPfIT was effectively delivered to the PCT services through individual  service improvement plans.

One service was able to identify ongoing savings of £60 000 per year as a result of the new ways of working developed with help from BlueSolutions
